Nicee Villa with good location to town with grocery store. Villa is located high in hills overlooking the valley below. Grounds were kept nicely and pool area was also clean. There was considerable noise from the Autostrada (Toll Road) down below which wasn't mentioned on the website. The two rooms on the bottom floor at Casa in Pietra were musty smelling since the are built into the adjacent hill with the other villa on top of them. The upstairs bathroom was small with a tiny shower. If you can overcome the noise and the smell in the two room you will enjoy yourself at this location.

Villa Pieve is a fantastic place to stay. The location is wonderful, but the villa itself is a true gem. There were 20 of us, and we all had a wonderful stay. It is really more beautiful than the pictures. Lucignano is a quiet, lovely village with absolutely wonderful restaurants. We ate at 4 of them, and they were all first rate. We hope to return again and soak up some more Tuscan sun!!

A Casa di Alino was possibly the most perfect bed and breakfast for our group to have stayed at during our stay in Florence. It was very comfortable and the location was great.

To those of you looking for a true Tuscan week's visit, think about Massi. We found a truly authentic Tuscan home with all the ammenities, including the use of two washers!! The interior of our home was lovely and met all our needs. The exterior grounds were lovingly planted and cared for, only adding to the charm of the property. The villa is approximately 5 miles from San Gimignano and easy driving distances from several other hilltowns. It was truly a week to be savored and remembered.
